im trying to loosen the alternator to get the belt off. i got the one 15mm bolt from the bottom. what other bolts do i need to loosen. or do you guys have another method. thanks alot. 96 neon by the way.

 

you need to losen 3 bolts in total... the bottom bolt... witch is stationary, then the top bolt should be straight across from the bottom... its what acually pivits... then there is an adjustment bolt on the back of the alternator its fairly long just back that bolt back and it will move the alternator up or down... reverse to tighten...

 

yes its on the top and it points towards the firewall. i think its a 13 mm dont remember exactly.but, its a pita if the socket is greasy
