so can i get rid of it or not ...im not sure exactly wat it does ....doesnt it just filter exhaust gas or sumpin like that...??

 

it filters the "gas fumes" from the gas tank and puts them into your intake... its a envorment thing... raw unspent gas has alot of hydrocarbons witch is bad for the o-zone. the only reason for the coal canister is to make sure the fumes are "dry"...

if you do remove it you have to remove the rubber o-ring on your gas cap, and plug the hole coming from your gas tank...

but we all need to be green so leave it alone... unless you have to remove it...

 

its a race car ..it doesnt have a gas tank ..it has a 5 gallon fuel cell..the only reason i wanna take it off is because its in a bad location and will most likely get smashed...but i ges ill jsut leave it on untill it does ...thanks

 

i took mine out a while back...now my coolant over flow tank sits there
its nice not having it since you can also get rid of other junk under the hood
