my first gen neons headlights have a yellow film over them. i tried sanding a little but that just seems to scratch them. i want to but blue or bright white bulbs in but with the yellow will it even make a difference. if anyone has an answer or knows a way to fix this problem hook a brother up

 

you'll need to get new lenses. they etch pretty badly over time but there are some abrasive polishes that can clear it up a little. yes a different set of bulbs will make a difference. i have super blue bulbs in mine even with the hazy lenses and i can see better at night. best bet is to buy some after market headlights though.

 

You can wet sand the headlights and that will get rid of the yellowing. I'll try and dig up that how-to for you.

 

i did it to my girlfriends 95, I eventually said the hell with it and bought her a set of projector wannabe's off of ebay...
I've heard rumors that there is a special chemical that u can use... Don't know what it is or where to get it. I'll try to remember

 

I have seen thoose chemicals on Ebay. I don't know if they work, or how well, but check there.

 

call a body shop ask them how to clear them
