ive recently came across a 2nd gen neon..that was hit pretty hard..the car is toast but the engine is still good ...it has the 2.0 just like my first generation...i nocticed that the passenger side motor mount is different...if i buy the car for the motor will it fit in my 98 ..im not sure wat year the crashed one is ...i was thinkin 03 maybe 04

 

i dont see why you cant make it fit. i assume its for your racecar, so you wont have to run all the wires. FYI the later model gen2 neons have a different PCM the others. i think the pcm change was in 2003, but im not sure.

 

No, 2000+ have different PCM's. I know the main difference is the pass. side motor mount, I am not sure, but unless the block is different, you should be able to adapt it to your current mounting system...

 

well if its just the pcm and that mount i think im gonna buy it ...it still has all thewiring and pcm and stuff..thank you for ur time
