Default Pictures of your air intakes

So im looking at replacing the cheap ebay intake my brother has on this car, its very problematic when changing the filter, and its smashed up at the top because it wasnt a direct fit piece, and when he went to close the hood, the hood hit it and dented the hood up, so he hammered th eintake down some. Ive been looking at the K&N intake kit as shown here...

however it is extremely expensive for an intake, i was hoping you guys could post some pictures of your intakes to give me an idea of what i should be looking for, also, im not going for the whole engine straw thing, i have to drive this car in extremely bad weather so the intake has to be in the engine bay.

heres a pic of the current intake...

this pic is old, and it looks alot worse then that now, as you can see it sucks air directly off the exhaust manifold lol

well im looking for somthing similar to whats in it now, but somthign that fits properly, this was one of those 15 dollar ebay intakes, and i remember him having to cut it up to get it to fit without denting the hood up. Which companys out there make intakes that fit like that without having to mod the intake?

I don't like those straw intakes. One small puddle can be a sip of water for a motor. Its not worth the 2hp gain.

Jesus, I have no idea what retard even designed that pos intake. Why the hell would they have the filter go that way, right into the hottest part of the engine?! I am positive the stock unit is better than that set-up. If it's not a true intake that goes into the fender well, or sits close to the ground, then it isn't worth it IMO.
