down to the final steps of the assembly of the 96 SOHC neon motor... friendly little thing to work on, but I picked up the new felpro permadry oil pan gasket part 30673... I thought these were designed to not need any rtv sealant or silicone??? the Haynes manual recommends a small bead at the joints of the block to the oil pump assembly housing... but I think that the book might of been printed before the new gasket... anyone have any thoughts on whether you need rtv with the new gasket??

you dont NEED to with that gasket, but i always put some on there just to be safe....
