there will be alot of other things going on including a swap meet vendors will be there with neon related parts and goodies...

Belvidere IL from what i understand isent that far away from chicago, and wives useually head up there to go shopping one day...

they are also planning on a backroad trip were everyone gets together and heads out on the highway... and then threw town and past the neon plant...

 

belveded is about an hour and a half to 2 hours from chicago....straight down the interstate..

byron is a pretty cool drag strip and its about half way between my house and belvedere...
hell, we could almost have a bbq here

No. ALl I know that cambridge hotel. I asked on the org site and a guy replied DUDE read the posts. So I read them for about an hour. I feel stupider. Come to find out its not all set yet. (finally someone that wasnt an idiot answered me).

It would be interesting to go and see a butt-load of neons and their owners all in one place but gas is too much and its too far from Dallas to drive up there for sure... and most of my travelin'money will be spent just3 weeks later on a trip to go to Vegas. That kind of stuff is almost always held someplace real far from TX. Of course at that time of year its usually already pushin 100 degrees anyway.

 

This is going to be the last of the neon meets for the org... matt wiggens has done it every year since I belive 2000 maybe a little befor and he just cant sink anymore of his money into it...

as far as where... the hotel.... they have reserved the confrence room and everything else its sorta like if you plan a family reunion at a hotel... but with a bunch of neon guys...

damn, that city is about 800 miles from my place here near philly.
whats the cheapest way to get a car there w/o driving it (towing, dolly, uhaul, ect.)

 

i dolly would be cheaper, but then you would have to spend the gas to drive whatever could pull it....

its a really easy drive to get there from philly....PA turnpike > ohio turnpike > indiana turnpike > route 80 west > u.s. 39/route 51 north.....then your basically there

 

CHeapest way without driving it would be pushing it.
