i know what you are thinking, and yes, i already know what trannies have what gearing etc. (3.55 has the low rpm at 60 which is in the SOHC, 3.96 in the dohc has same 5th gear, and the r/t and acr have 3.96 with higher rpm at 60 5th gear)

now, my question is this....
would it be possible to have the standard 3.55 final drive, but swap in the high rpm at 60 5th gear?

i want to have the 3.55 for my car when i go turbo, but i HATE the rpm drop from 4th to 5th

sounds beautiful shifting from first through 4th, nice, evenly spaced, then hit that fifth, and it just sounds so bogged

 

can u just transfer the syncros?

or is that not do able?
