cool trick; i'm gonna test your theory when i get home and i'll let you know the results

 

so i pulled the first wire off and sparks were coming out lol, is this normal?! at any rate, i dont feel safe messing around in there with the engine running I just dont know enough about it to feel safe. perhaps i should take the info you've given me and just take it to my mechanic.

 

there should be sparks comming out of the wire since thats the spark plug wire....but unless you have gas all over your valve cover, there isnt really anything to worry about

 

guess i was just under the impression that the sparks were started and/or contained down where the plugs were kept but that just shows how much I actually know. I'll stop bein a puss and check it again this evening.
