Looks good for getting the 98 sport (pics)
I definitely will ask him to go 800 or 900, but i should be able to get a grand out of my car and at least break even. And this car is in better shape than mine.
I will be stoked if i get the car. I like the fact that it's a sport with the dohc engine, it has a/c, cruise, folding back seat, adjustable head rests, i like the tan interior, the green paint, and the body and motor are in better shape. This will also be a better engine for the turbo intercooler setup i'm gonna put on it this summer. Right now my car runs fine, but it's an sohc, the paint is chipping, it's white, no options (i drive back and forth from seattle to Bozeman a lot and cruise control will be nice). I figure the sport is worth $800 - $1000 right? So 1 grand is on the high end but, i think it's worth it. We'll see once my dad gets a personal look at it.
1000 isnt bad. Specially if you want it really bad. Nothing better then getting something that you really really want. I love the sohc. I have 2 dohcs set ups do to the dohc swap but i dont want to cause I like the sohc. I hope you dont get it and find out something is really bad with it. Good luck
i paid 900 for my mtx dohc 2dr sport w/ 207,000 miles on the car. the only thing that had been changed was the oil
my 4.3 cpi chevy blazer was getting about 14mpgs on the highway and i drove 1,000 miles every month.
i gotthe neon2nd owner from a 45 yr old lady who bought it new in '99, n i have 224,00 on it now. i had the entire top end rebuilt after i let the t-belt snap and destroy the first one. car did run strong and runs even stronger now. i had an 03 sxt brand new in 03 but i wrecked it.... long story.
just kinda fell back into the neon thing. i like dodges, so... anyway im glad i got the car. its fun. pwr everything, cruise, ac, and a sunroof. ive honestly put about 2,500 into the car since i got it - including repairs. its an easy car to work on and the parts arent too bad $$ wise. ive been replacing stock parts with performance parts though.
.... id rather have that car (-tan interior... its just weird looking) and have to put the motor it in. 207,000 mile is a lot. my grandparents wanted to shoot me.
