is it worth it then to find a 98 acr or rt or can i just order the part from mopar?

im new to this im wanting to work on my car on weekends kinda deal
There was no 98 ACR that I am aware of, but a PCM from an R/T will work in a 97-99 neon no problem.

you cant take a aohc and put it in a dohc

the sohc has intake/exhuast controled on one came where as a dohc, intake is controlled by one and exhuast is controlled by another
you can only swap the 95 cam into a sohc cam
or get the magnum cam as an upgrade too

***still wanna know what the mopar ecu aloows as top speed for a dohc****

so i would gain nothing by taking the cams out of a 95 DOHC and putting them into my 98 DOHC, is that what i am understanding?

Speed limiters are as follows:

149mph for Mopar PCM[/b]
No limit for AF/X PCM[/b] & 95 ACR PCM[/b]
130mph for R/T & ACR PCM[/b]
118mph for all others
