ok look i got a real bad short that blow my fuel pump fuse out after every lil bump. i took it to the shop and the guy said its a short in the engine harness and my ecu is shortin out. i have a single 5spd 2door 1997. does anyone have a ecu for sell. dis guy is chargerin me 360 for eveything

 

what you want to do 1st before buying a new ecu is to park the car and let it idle....while its ideling, pop the hood and go over the wiring harness and just start wiggeling it...start and one side and move to the other....find the short, tape the exposed wire, and call it a day...you just saved $360..

i had the same problem about a week ago.....while looking at the engine with it running i moved a part of the harness and saw it spark....there was the short...threw some electrical tape on it and havent had a problem since

 

if ur still at a brick wall and if its a dohc with a manual transmission- i have one i can sell you fairly cheap.
