broken horn?
We got my wifes car back from the body shop about a month ago and thought everything was fine, well, as it turns out while I was behind a 90 something year old woman the other day I had no horn!!! I can't drive without a horn for more reasons than one. So, i got to fiddlin with it a couple days ago and can't seem to figure it out. The fuse is fine, the relay clicks when i push the horn, There were a couple of pinched ground cables I repaired from the wreck, but for the life of me, cant seem to find any other messed up wire. Do horns go bad? The black piece that has all the twists and turns that amplifies the sound was cracked, assuming from the wreck, does auto zone sell horns? If they do, do they make different tones? or is it just how much power they get that determines volume and sound?
did the airbag go off in the crash? if it did, take it back to the body shop and have them take a look at the clocking spring assembly in the steering wheel. that might be the reason and you dont want to take it all apart yourself if you can get the insurance company to pay for this oversight. messing around with the clocking spring/airbags can cost you tons of money.

He said the relay is clicking though when he presses the horn. Where was the damage at? It may have damaged the horn assembly. But, what good is a horn in our neons? Its almost a silent "meep meep!" lol
