The cam would be a good upgrade. It all depends on what you are gonna do with the car and how extreme you want to be. there are 3 main cams for the car, the Crane #10, #12, #14. The 10 is just about stock, the 12 is basicly a street cam, and the 14 is a race cam. If you are going to stay NA I would go with the 12, if you are going turbo use the 14. Really either one would be fine in either application, but the idle is gonna be prettty loppy with the 14.

The Crane #14 is not that bad, I plan on putting it in mine, it will give you more power than the #12. There is a million things you can do. If you are thinking PCM, computer, then I would go with the afx race PCM from howell, Mopar also makes a PCM. Just remember if you plan on going turbo, you are gonna need to keep you stock PCM, any aftermarket PCM will not be good for a turbo. They are too rich and the motor will go BOOM!

You can get a Crane #12 for about $300.

The cam is also like the hardest to install. You have to take the engine out to get to it.

You don't have to take the engine out in the least.

You remove the passenger side motor mount, jack the engine up on that side so that the head clears the fender and you ccan slide the cam out.
