My 97 SOHC MTX Neon does not come with a tach so i want to install one. since this type has a different type of coil set up than i'm used to where would i hook up the wire. also this car does not have a "LOW FUEL" light that comes on located in the instrument cluster. is this common for my yr? and lastly i'm in need of fron struts and rear shocks. i will be upgrading from the golf cart stock tires and wheels (14") to some 17"s, any suggestions???????????

 

tach wire is behind the cluster...

1. take out the cluster
2. you will see 2 wiring plugs... lift up on the right one...
3. tach wire is gray with blue stripe

 

Neons don't have rear shocks....they are struts all the way around .

KYB GR-2 struts are a great replacement. I still say 15's are the best

 

These STRUTS can be purchased through Jegs or Summuit racing?????? Why 15's? Just asking because all my friends with Neons are running 17's.

Yes, you can even get them through ebay for a little cheaper.

Because 15's don't hurt acceleration. 17's slow the neon down a bit, EVEN if they are lightweight.
