i need some help.
Okay here goes,
i was driving my 96 SOHC neon taking my girlfriend home, it drove fine, nothing wrong. and i mean i had a little bit of problems with things like, idleing high and **** but other than that nothing too bad. this is my fourth neon. so im not totally ignorant lol. ive done 5 engine and tranny swaps things like that but anyways. After i dropped her off and i was on my way home. my car started jerking, not so bad to start with but then it got worse. it would jerk and act like it wanted to die. and the engine light came on. the battery light stays on so thats not a problem.when itwould jerk the battery light and the engine light would go off and come backin sync with the jerkingand then it got even worse, if i let off the gas it would just die, the rpms would just drop. so i had to leave it on the side of the road. i came back the next day and it started right back up and ran fine all the way home. i drove it to work wich is only a mile away and things like that.but it seems that when i get up[ to operating temp. and drive a little ways that it would start it again. so..i checked the codes, and for some odd reason it was throwing the number 44 code which is the ambient temp. sensor hi code....WTF!?!? i dont even have that. but i cought the code when it was jerking and it said ignition coil....something...so i changed it. and test drove it. it got up to temp. and started it all over again.. so i looked at it, made sure there werent any bad connections, no burnt wires, that sorta thing. and im stumped because now it wount even start. it will turn over for as long as the bettery will let it but it wont fire. i havent checked to see if its getting fire yet but thats my next step. so any help on this i would appreciate very much thanks!!
