hey i just got my pcm from moper and the book said i had to get it programed by dodge is this true ? can i get by with out them inputting my vin in it ? and i also want to know how to kill me oem steering wheel i was told that there is not a kit to put a after market steering wheel on but is there soming that will work for me ?

 

as long as your power door locks and alarm work (if they were equipped) then don't worry about it. All the dealership will do is input the VIN and current milage. my local dealership only wanted $15 to do it though. i ended up just not doing it.

 

The vin is not needed on any of the 1st gen neons... at all...

The only neons that do need it is the 2003+ ngc motor cars...

as far as the steering wheel. no they do not make a kit for the "neon" due to a fedaral law saying you can not remove an air bag. However there are a few Grant kits that will work and I belive its for mid 90s S10's but its been awile... I shelled out the 80 bucks for the momo kit witch due to it being made in italy they can make one for a neon.
