Default e brake

as some of u guys know i just but on some new brake shoes and kit on my rear drums... well i have brakes now but no ebrake it will move and all but it wont grab and hold my car.how do i adjust it so i can have a ebrake again.. i have a haynes book too but it dont tell me how to adjust it just how to remove and install it.. any help or pics would b nice thanks

drive around and just pull it here and there.
thats what i did on my dads 2000 in the snow to get it to work so i could have some fun!
ive also heard of driving in reverse and then pulling it to adjust it too but im not sure about htat!

Yea ill try that later on. it works alil bit but not fully like i want it.. so ill c if i can do the backen up thing

well i just got back and it still didnt work backn up. idk what else to do how the brakes are adjusted but the e brake works and all just wont grab.

you might have a stretched cable

otherwise the cable is self adjusting to 29lbs of pull

but y would it work when i had the old brakes on there and they were old and now i have brand new ones on and it dont work.. i would think it would b the same and when i had the old ones on

maybe you put the adjuster on backwards? can you adjust it manually? jus tinker around with the adjuster,cant remember which way to turn it lol
wish I had pictures to help you out but its 2 30 am.
