Default Manual Tranny

I'm in need of a new gear box. I have found on at the local junk yard for $225, is thata good enough price?

Okay, so last Sunday I had the clutch replaced. Went with a standard modular replacement, nothing fancy. All was good as it drove me home just fine. Get up Monday morning and drive it to work. When I got back from lunch, I noticed a small puddle where my car was but I just figured someone parked there while I was gone and left before I got back. When I go leave work that evening I notice a new, even bigger, puddle under my car. Swipe my finger through it and oh yeah, thats gear oil. Without looking I call my buddy that put it in and he told me to bring it by when I gettime so he can see if he missed something. I drove it home and left it there until I had time to take it to him last night, and what we found was not what I was expecting. There is a nice hole in my casing. He looked it over as good as he could and said he sees nothing that could have caused it.

Looking at it from the driver side, the hole is in about the 1 oclock position inches from the speedo gear. What do you guys think?

$225 isn't too bad. They usually for about $100-$200 depending on the seller.

No, I don't do burn outs. I'm just an everyday driver. When we lifted it to put it back in, something did fall either out of the trans or off the braces we had it rested on while swapping the clutch. Never did find what fell though.

The car is still drivable even though the pin is gone?
