Battery relocation
Can anyone help me? I am trying to put my battery in the trunk and im not sure how. I have read online that if you put the battery in the trunk you mess up your weight distribution, I dont think its true though I have a tool box heavier than my battery in my trunk and it feels the same with or without it.
Well concidering that you are on the drivers side if you put the battery on the passenger side you will better balance the weight of the car... however you should have as much weight over the front two wheels as you can concidering that your car is a fwd...
how to relocate your battery...
1)remove battery and battery tray...
2)Place marine battery box in trunk and mount it securely...
3) run 2g wire or bigger up to the front of the car threw the firewall gromet...
4a) connect power wire to distubution block then from the block to the starter
4b) connect power wire to starter.
5a) connect pdc box to distubution block.
5b) Run 4g wire from same starter bolt that you put the power wire to to the pdc box.
6 Ground 2g or larger wire from good grounding point in trunk to the negitive battery terminal...
7) Ground block to frame using 2g wire to starter bolt...
Theres a few other ways to do it but these are the easyist and most common...
