Just purchased a 1998 Neon from a guy in Illinois. 4 door, manual, SOHC, no spoiler, oh and its purple. Its got around 139,000 miles on it, but looks fairly clean. This will be Neon #5. The newest as far as year is concerned. Its the Highline model so it has painted trim and bumpers, but no fog lights. I hope its not a bucket!

 

barney purple or dark pearl purple?

i got rid of an suv for my neon. it was a slight ego thing to get out of my 2dr blazer on big tires and get into my purple neon. but deep amethyst has def. grown on me. plus i spend literally half as much on gas. id drivea pink one with a dick painted up the side if i had to for 39mpgs

 

Now thats an idea! The dick mobile. Its the dark pearl purple. Ive seen a few of those Barney Purple Neons and there is no way in hell id get into one of those. That or the lime green. The colors are cool on old muscle cars, just not Neons.

 

the Nitro green are the cats ***. you cant find many of them. IMO they are worth more

 

NYG's are worth more. so are Styles and ACRs. i'd love to have either an NYG or Magenta (aka Barney Purple)

 

Not for me. Even if they are worth more. Ive still got to be seen getting in and out of it!
