i want to upgrade my alternator but what amp i have and what amp i need to find is a mystery to me does any one have any small tricks to help

 

Upgrade your alternator? You want to over charge you battery or something? Get a smaller pulley on ur alternator. Then it will spin faster. But there should be no reason to upgrade the alternator. Its just a waste of money enless your running major amps or something that drains alot of power.

you need to add up the fuses and thatwill tell you how many the amps the amplifiercan pull.

you really shouldent need a better alt unless you running some serious audio or lights.

a capacitor would work but if i could get a bigger amp alt from a junk yard for half the price i would go that way im cheap

I've heard that the PT cruisers alternator has the same casing but puts out more amps. anybody know anything about this???
