screws directly into the block on the front side near the center a little above the bedplate. is it a part i cant get from auto zone or do i have to go to the jy or ebay for it? is it a knock sensor? im assuming the car wont run without it.

 

I got one. Let me know. Its from a sohc. I got a few spare engines.

i think it retards timing if it sees knock, dont know for sure

 

it will run just pull tons of timing like 12volt said...

 

alright. i got a new one from advance - $28. motor and trans are in and the timing is set. i gotta put the alternator, pwr steering and ac on - then the manifolds and wiring.... gettin close.
