Default tach problems

SOMETIME when i turn on my neon my tach does not work, no speedo, no rpms, no gas meter nothing,and that annoying door ajar beeping goes off it so annoying can anyone help.

Sounds like a loose gauge cluster. You ever to try and give it a push? Make sure the slips are tight. If that helps That i would remove it, clean it up and make sure it mounted tight. I had the problem on a few of my neons.

or take the whole thing off...take the black peice off that tells you what the bulbs are for take the board off...and there are 2 rows of 5 solders...one on the left side and one on the right...re solder those...mine has been working fine ever since

Worked for me some time ago, also i think mine wasn't completely tightened down.
