modular are built as one part... the flywheel clutchplate and cover are all rivited together as one, and are bolted on to a flex plate witch has the starter gear on it... When installing this type of clutch you insert the the clutch in the transmission case then put the transmission on the block then threw the inspection plate on the bottom of the transmission bolt it to the flex plate that has allready been bolted to the crank
Non-modular are all parts seperate... fly wheel is bolted to crank then you have to aline the clutchplate and cover and then bolt it all together. then slide the transmission over everything. The flywheel itself has the starter gear...
