Ive had a damged trans mount and today my car which is a mtx seemed like it was tryin to down shift for about a 2 second period then my check engine light came one. Motor is fine from what i can tell. I think its my trans mount. and that my mount is about to give. Are they hard to replace?

 

Your talking about the trans mount on the drivers side right? Yea easy. 3 bolts on the tranny and one to the car. Use a jack to move up and down the tranny to access the bolts. The jack will also be used to support the weight of the engine/tranny. Good luck.

your going to have to take it out to check... check the bolts first that bolt the mount to the transmission first to make sure there tight...

 

Bad mount wont light the CEL though.
