My 95 Neon just started to miss every once in a while at idle and sometimes while driving also. Sometimes it does not have any problems and runs just fine. There are no codes in the computer. I replaced the fuel filter and that did not fix the problem. I don't know what to try next. I don't have the money to keep replacing things till I find out what is wrong. Can anyone give me some idea's

 

Keep it simple at first. Check plugs, wires, electrical connections.

 

Its probobly like every other neon ive ever seen, mine does it all the time and has since I got it. Ive heard if you get Magnacore plug wires it will help but I dont know for sure. It sounds like you're just talking about it 'putting' at idle? What helped mine the most is running high test ethanol fuel like from Appco if you live around the Applachian area or Gas n Go at a Food City plaza if you have one. Mine stopped for a year when I did this but I cant afford it anymore lol Good luck with it, hope this helps.

 

X2....the neon is sensitive to corrosion on the battery terminals.

 

thanks for the suggestions. It turned out to be just a loose battery cable. Once I tightened the cable all problems went away. Thank you again
