Hi guys. My 96 neon is about due for a new fuel filter. Problem is, I have no idea where it is. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance

 

i believe it is in the fuel tank, last time i tried to buy a fuel filter they said it was all one piece with the fuel pump. maybe someone here knows otherwise

 

There is 1 strainer on the end of the canister. One on the fuel pump itself. Then the actual fuel filter sits right outside the tank right next to the fuel pump. If you have a metal tank it was have 3 hoses, if it plastic it will have 2 hoses. Its a round metal cylinder. You cant miss it. Actually I think there is a little metal sheild that protects it right there. On the passenger side where the filler neck goes in. I pulled mine off over the winter.
