im getting code 31 31 (Evap purge flow monitor failure or evap solenoid circuit)

what does that mean? what is the purge flow monitor?

 

our cars don't have fuel return lines. they have an evap canister. it takes unused fuel vapors and does something or other with them to make them less harmful or it sends them back to the tank or i dont know. anyway it deals with that.

im getting the same code. guy at advance says a lot of people have pulled in with this code. he said maybe its something in the gas actually. i dunno. my lines are all hooked up right. either my canister is faulty or somethings askew.

let me know if you get it tracked down or if anyone else has this code.

could just be electrical too. sensor or wires
