Default 1st startup, fine, 2nd, car dies?

The first time i start my car for the day, it starts up fine. If i park somewhere, shut it off, run in and out in say, 5 minutes, then start it up again, sometimes it starts, but idles low and if i don't give it gas, it dies. This only happends if its ran for a little bit first. I had two sparkplugs submerged in oil, so i changed the head gasket seal, and they're no longer swimming. The spark plugs are fairly new, but that was before they were submerged, my wires are fairly new as well. A buddy of mine said it might be because im running too rich or lean on my gas? I've searched the forum but i'm not quite exactly sure what im looking for. Could someone offer me some advice please

Oil on top of spark plugs comes from the seals on the valve cover gasket. How is your air filter and fuel pressure? Did it start after the head gasket was changed?

Yes I'm sorry I meant I changed the valve cover gasket, ha been a long day . I have a cold air intake as far as air filter, and fuel pressure I'm not so sure of, or how to figure that out? Still learning as I go >.<

I was thinking a clogged fuel filter, heat issue, or tb sensors. You get any cels? Does the car use oil? Smoke?

It doesn't even have a fuel filter. It has a brand new radiator in it. Timing belt hasn't been changed. I noticed I do leak a small amount of oil. I always forget to test to see if I blow out any smoke, I was thinking about starting it up tonight to see how that goes.

As far as the ATX driveplate, my car has two models, one has a standard clutch, the other a modular. I got the model with the regular clutch style, and modular is better. In order for my modular clutch to work it needed a drive plate.

Yea but the drive plates are the same from the atx and mtx as long as you pull it from one with a modular clutch. :-) SO you have no fuel filter at all??? Did you take off the strainer thing to?

Oh, it was what I was told to use . I went to a part store and asked for one...and they said they don't even make fuel filters for my car. So I doubt it came with a strainer thing. I've been driving it for years, and it doesn't ring any bells.

in 99 the fuel filter was inside the tank with the fuel pump. also on the 98+ theres no accumilator nor external fuel filter like on the 95-97. He just has a fuel line that goes from the pump to the metal fuel line.

edit: I LOVE BEING ABLE TO POST! LOL
