Default fuel pump over heating?

i have a 95 neon 2.0 single cam , you can drive the car for a little while and the car will die and not crank. if it sets long enough it will start right up and run fine. i know it does need a t.p.s. sensor. anyone have any ideas?

95's are known for having the fuel pump overheat. Possible other culprits would be crank or cam position sensor.
