Question tech

ebrake seems to have lost alot of its ability to stop the car, ive tightened up the rear brakes and all...and i want to put a caravan custom intake on my car anyone do this and know anytricks to this?

Question....why are you using the parking brake to stop your car?

good question why are you doing that? e brake is to hold the car when parked not to stop the car??? and its now called the park brake

I used mine to slide around corners in the snow or lose gravel. never worked good enough to stop the car even when in Netural it would like to move.

sorry could have used a better word choice but hold in place on hills and stuff like that it.....i dont actually use it to stop the car while its moving

Are you putting the car is 1st gear? If you have it in a high gear, it will still move.

you mean when i park? no i just want the e brake to be able to lock the rear tires up...i know when i park it i have to pull it all the way up or my car likes to roll

Put it in 1st gear as well.

if you have your brakes adjusted correctly and the ebrake still doesnt work, then you prolly have a stretched cable. i have never looked at mine, but there might be a slack adjuster on it, that you can tighten.
