Default 95 neon fuel filter leak

Good site fellows, Changed fuel filter in daughters 95 neon in the dark and when i tried to start it and checked for leaks it was pouring from the supply tube to engine, in the day time i found rubber O rings on ground, Put them on and it still leaks, THE QUESTION IS in what order do these go Thanks

so your leaking fuel from the supply line to the engine?

Which filter did you change the strainer on the pickup tube or regulator/filter?

just changed the filter outside the tank, this one does not have a regulator, the hose connection that feeds the engine leaks, the car was sputtering like it was running out of gas, and if i kicked in passing gear it would run fine untill i let off of it, start spurttering again,

ahh yes 95.

Here is a pic

its the round oil filter looking thing with the three hoses coming out. 97+ have a sticker on it that says fuel accumulator not serviceable. i think the 95 and some 96 had the external filter

i really dont think the fuel lines should have O rings on them. most look like this

if it keeps leaking i would just cut it off and use some fuel injector hose and clamps

your fuel pressure reg on the 95 is mounted inside the tank

hard to say for sure. change your plugs and try and run some injector cleaner
