Default Car Overheats When On Hills

I am having a problem with my car overheatting when I'm at a complete stop on hills. It's only when I am at a red light and stopped that it starts to overheat, even if I move up it still overheats. It goes all the way up to the H on the temp reading and starts beeping. I was thinking the temp sensor, but wouldn't it over heat even when I was on flat ground too? It never happens when I am on flat ground and stopped. I check the coolant level and it seems to be at a good level. My fan for the radiator sounds like the bearing in it is gone, but I doubt that would have anything to do with it overheatting. Why would my car only overheat when stopped on a hill?

maybe your fans arent working right and when you sit it overheats because when your driving it has some cool air going through it where if you sit you have nothing tried to help..dont know if thats what it is but sounds like it

if your fan is fried that would explain it since radiators pass of heat onto the air moving through them and if your fan isnt pushing that air then whats gonna cool it down
