I was driving my 1995 plymouth neon sohc atx and came to a stop sign and went to take off again and it died and i have brand new battery,plugs,wires,timing belt,starter,water pump and just yesterday i installed my egr valve it sounds like its starving for gas and is really hard to start the car only has 66k original miles on it any help thanks

 

can you hare the whinning from the fuel pump when you turn the ignition on?

 

there is no noise coming from the car and i just went out and started it and it started up with no problem then not even 2mins later it started to starve for gas i think and tried to stall, before i use to hear a sharp piercing sound when i shut off the car but not anymore

 

that sharp piercing sound comes from the pcm

 

I guess the next step would be to check your fuel pressure; at idle it should read around 49 PSI on stock components.

 

could it be my fuel pump relay??
