grinding noise? Clutch?

if my 98 dohc neon is at idle i hear this strange grinding noise. when i put in the clutch it stops if i move the car at all it stop. i have no idea what this would be, any thoughts?

can you tell were the sound is coming from? leave it at idle open the hood and try and trace it down.

if it is a chattering sound then its your throw out bearing....almost all neons do it when it starts to get cold
