I need to get a new screw, the screw that's behind the door handle so that the door will open from the inside. I was wondering if anyone knew the correct name for it and if I could pick one up at a hardware store or just swipe one from a junk yard.

 

i dont know what screw your talking about... i knows theres a little plastic clip that the bar that comes back from the latch goes in. i broke one of those before... but i dont recall any screws? except for the one in the door panel but that wouldnt effect the door opening

 

On the first generations pull ur door latch forward and there's a screw behind it that opens the door.

 

Its a hex head screw, i just took my doors off to put in new speakers so i know what your talking about. Take it out of your passenger door and go to a hardware store to see if they have a match, otherwise an auto store will have them for sure. Your door shouldnt come off if only thats removed though, there are still alot of clips that hold it on, plus the window handle.

 

You should be able to get it from the hardware store.
