well i took the car to the car wash this morning...fells like it could use a new front stut..otherwise it really drives nice....
gave it new plugs and an oil change last nite....
heat works great, but the temp gauge doesnt really seem to work and the tach is a little off at idle....
if i cant sell it soon then im just going to keep it
either way, i think it was a steal for $500

well it wasnt exactly "in" the junk yard....i guess the previous owner thought the tranny was bad and thats why it wouldnt move, so they gave it to the junk yard....then the junk yard set it aside for me until i could see it....they do that from time to time when they get in really nice neons...
so far, $500 for the car....$50 for the yard to deliver it....$46 for a new axel...$20 for plugs and oil change
almost brand new tires
interior is almost perfect
the spoiler is awsome
the only problems i have really noticed is the fact it could use a strut, the trunk lock was busted out, temp gauge doesnt work, and the tach is a little off...other then that it fires right up and drives great....
i am seriously thinking about keeping it and just selling my beast.....

well i just have to wait and see what happens...i love my little beater but the 2nd gen is so much nicer...
i might put the car on ebay tonight....if it doesnt sell, then i might give it another couple weeks before i decide to keep it

this isnt one of those big junk yards like the cities have....this is just more of a local salvage yard.....they hang onto all the neons they get in for me so i can decide if i want it or not...i can even put in a request for a neon and they will pick one up at an auction for me....i sell a bunch of stuff for the owner on ebay...
the last neon i bought from that yard was a 98 r/t that i needed for parts...hell, they even deliver
yeah i put it on ebay a few hours ago...and craigslist...and the org....if it doesnt sell, i will be keeping it
