Default Electrical problem update

Well, my car dies when I turn the headlights on, and the gaugecluster refuses to work.

On my cluster, the left turn signal stays lit, my driver side headlight is dim and the turn signal is dim, but the passenger side works just fine.

Does anyone have an idea why, whatever my electrical problem is, is only affecting the left side of my car?

BTW, the tail lights and rear turn signals work just fine...

Also, I searched the FAQ's and found this link...My Speedometer and/or gauges aren't working properly, what do I do?...but the link is dead

i think you might have to replace your alternator because that is what would cause it to die and lights be dim idk about the cluster but i think that will fix a majority of your prob. hope i could help

Well that's what I thought. But only my left headlight/fog light is dim, the right side works just fine. The car starts up fine to and will stay running, but it doesn't like to. When I step on the gas the car will rev, but it hesitates.

If my alternator was going, I'm pretty sure my car would have died by now.

The day it happened I drove home just fine, and my car was shut OFF when the gauge cluster started acting screwy.
