Question replaced engine today

I have a 99 R/T 2.0 DOHC

I just had my engine replaced. I drove it home fine today. About 3 hours later i went out started it, turned on my headlights, then it died...no power what soever in the car, like the battery is completely drained. But the oil light comes on, and flashes really fast. and makes a ticking noise. What could this be? I'm calling the shop again tomorrow...

Even with the key out of the ignition the light still flashes and ticks. I have disconnected the battery over night. Any comments?

Bad sending unit possibly would make the light flicker. My guess is a short somewhere maybe.

but why would it work one time and not another? and you would think that leaving the battery disconnected over night it would reset? but when i hook it back up, it just starts ticking again...
