Default mopar computer?

yesterday i called my local dealer to try to order the ACR steering rack i seen in a mopar performance book, while talkin to the guy he said about a comp he had in his books... now i know the one mopar comp (dont know how many different ones they make) bumps up the speed limiter... but thats all i know. dude said this computer will move redline to 7800RPM's! now here is where my questionscome in lol

my car stops making power right around 6500, will it make power any higher?

rev limiter is at (99% sure)7200 does this computer move limiter or just do away with it completely?

what would this computer be like with high compression pistions?

this is all stuff he couldn't answer lol thanks alot guys.

You have a dohc, and your car stops making power at 6,500? the ecu will give you more top end power. You should be making power to about rev limiter. You need to fix something. The mopar ecu will raise your rev limiter from 7,200 to 7,800. So at 7,800 you will get cut out instead of 7,200. Yes it will work good with high compression pistons. Just remember the mopar ecu advances timing. So make sure you have some good octane gas. If you go all out with a built engine, you should just get a more tunable setup. The mopar ecu is good for light builds.

Mopar PCM requires 93 octane gas.

i know about the gas also, it said that in the book (forgot to mention that one) and yes i do have a DOHC and it def stops making power at 6500RPM's.. i dont think anything is wrong i mean that is where they are rated for their horsepower "150hp @6500rpm" at least thats what i've always read and thats what my car does... anybody else w/DOHC's wanna share where they make power to so i can see if anyone's is different

Peak HP is at 6500 RPM but you should be able to rev higher than that with the stock PCM.
