hi guys, i just bought a 97 neon sohc...it was working great....until i went to get a new thermostat put in it....i guess the bolts stripped and tried drilling a new hole to see if he could fix it....but i guess he drilled threw the head.......so i got access to a new engine head....but now i told i need to replace the head gasket and other stuff when i do this change?...any help greatly appreciated....thxs and merry xmas, shawn

 

when replacing the head its always a good idea to change the head gasket

 

the termostat isnt even in the head its on the intake mani.

Reuse the HG if you want it to leak. its also a good idea to use new head bolts
