jeez it's not that damn hard to practice preventative maintenance. I only paid $2800 for my '99 but I've had to spend probably another $500 at least just fixing all the little things caused by that douchebag's neglect. So far I haven't had any major problems, but I'm scared something is gonna pop up just based on how badly my poor car was taken care of. When I first got it the oil was BLACK. It looked like freaking TAR. How damn lazy do you have to be to let it go that long?! I've left oil in my old car for 7,000 miles a couple times & it never got darker than medium brown so it had to be a LONG time. And I know SO many people that literally NEVER clean their cars out. My mom does that- she lugs around probably 200 pounds of unnecessary crap in the cargo area & backseat of her SUV. She doesn't even know what all is back there. My ex is one of those people too and it is one of the reasons I dumped him. I had to borrow his truck once & I had to use napkins to grab the steering wheel because it was STICKY. I had to open my window cause the smell in it was threatening to make me vomit. Combine dirty ashtrays, wintergreen dip, corn chips, FEET, spoiled food, and rotten soda-fouled carpet & you might begin to imagine what it smelled like in there. People are amazed when they get in my car & it smells like wildberries & freshly laundered seat covers. Apparently it's a RARITY for cars to smell good! God people are so disgusting & I don't know how they can stand to live like that. If you can't even ride in their car without staining your buttcheeks & having to wash the smell out of your hair afterwards, what must their HOUSE look like?

Ok I'll quit hijacking this thread with my bitching lol... Sorry I'm bored today.
