Air intake hose?

Question Air intake hose?

Was just wondering cause i cant find any pictures or anything about it but, on a 97 sohc motor what does the hose from the air intake hook to? and also the hose on the back of the valve cover has a hose. Thanks!

The air intake hose is connected to the throttle body on one end and the other has the filter on it.

The valve cover hose runs from the valve cover to the air intake tubing.

any idea where to find a factory replacement for that hose?

Just get some tubing from your local auto parts store.

what is the valve cover hose for, what is its purpose?

It vents crankcase pressure...so it needs to vent somewhere.

okay my question then is this when i installed my 3.0 cai i did not connect that hose but just left it there in the open, could that cause any problems

Dirt and whatever flies around the engine bay can get in there and into your crankcase. Not the best idea! You can out a small breather filter on it.
