i want to use an automatic tranny cause my wife cant drive stick but i want to know what would be better for racing the sec gen or first gen tranny and if anyone knows what are the ratios cause im going to put a stall converter boss hog laucher and phantom slip diff what would be the best for my neon dohc 12.1 compression about 325 horse with all the mods on it

auto would have much less performance, not to mention you would be going thu axles like nobody business

 

2nd gen trannies have fitment and overheating issues in the 1st gen. Someone on here claimed to have successfully put one in with no overheating issues, but alas no pictures were ever presented.
