Default rpm factory tach problem

ok i swaped a 99 dohc into my car awhile back i had a whole donor car so i swaped everything also in factory tach cluster i had one in my car before and it worked ever since i swaped the dohc in it doent work i tried my old cluster and still dont work any idea it would be nice to have it working again

did you modify your harness or replace it when you did the DOHC swap? I'm guessing that theres a broken or freyed spot on the tach signal wire...

no didnt even take the harness off the motor it only had 14k on it so i dont think a wires bad i just dont get it

Did you check the tach wire?

when i had my sohc in the car iw worked find the car i got the dohc out of i fired the motor up on that car and it worked when i swaped it it doesnt work im not sure ill take a look at the wire and see whats up
