I have a 1995 neon manual. Lately the engine started shutting off by it self while ideling and even at highway speed. It also bucks once in a while. when the engine shuts off I am usually able to turn it right back on whithout any problems. though sometimes it just won't start back again like this morning. after 15 minutes or so i was able to retsart it however I had to push the gaz all the way in order to barely keep it running. Also, the check engine light come on and off whithout any particular patern. always the same code 25/P0505.

I took it to 3 mecanics including a chrysler dealer today for a total cost of $250 without being given a diagnostic. I have a car starter installed in it which the dealer suggested is the problem. so he unpluged it. Before leaving the dealers parking lot, above symptoms appeared again. So I went right back in to get some clarifications. anyway long story short, he suggested to take the car the electrician who installed the car starter to remove all car starter conponents. and return back to the dealer for further diagnosis. The dealer was not able to get any codes of the reader.

Please help. what would you do? any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem?
