No Brakes...Hard Brake Pedal ?
Hello all. Update, I got my EGR Valve off and cleaned up. Found out that there was no gasket on it. Bought a new gasket cleaned it all up, valve is working and no codes so far after almost a 100 miles. But I have new problem that has arisen, my brake pedal gets hard as a rock now. It's not happening all the time, just sometimes. Like when you really need it! It almost feels like the brake booster lost all its vacuum, but I have no vacuum leaks and the car is running perfect! This all just started happening after I pulled the intake and TB to fix that damn O-ring on the back of the water pump a week ago. What could be causing this? I think its the booster failing, but I'm really not sure. Scares the **** out of ya when your rolling down the road. Any suggestions would be great. Is there a one way check valve on the connector at the booster where the vacuum line plugs into from the intake? It's reall got me puzzled......

Well I think I figured out my loss of vacuum problem. I replaced the main vacuum hose from the intake manifold to the brake booster and used new clamps as well. I also found that my PCV valve might have been the true culprit in my booster problem. I think the PCV valve was hanging while the engine was under a higher RPM, while it was 'hanging' open is when I would loose all vacuum. I replaced both hose's going to and from the PCV as well as the valve itself. So far my brakes have been fine. Hopefully this has fixed my problem. Now does anyone have a gas tank filler neck they would like to part with?
