we even ran a 5spd 2.4 car with a 96 sohc auto computer acually ran with no none problems

 

Interesting. The SOHC 96 PCM does have a different part # than the 97-99s for a reason though.

 

yeah we wernt sure if it would work but we didnt have another dohc one laying around so i didnt hurt to try it it ran and drove didnt seem to have any problems

 

You can use a SOHC PCM on a DOHC w/o problems. Just get the lower rev limiter.

 

didnt know that lol that cars long dead tho im just waiting to get my car back so i can finish the tranny swap im putting a sohc 5spd tranny in what kinda time would it run in the quarter mile? well a stock dohc 5spd

 

That depends on the condition of the engine.

 

it has 17657 original miles fresh head gasket magnaflow high flow cat and a 24" spiralflow resonator and srt exhaust cold air intake not to much more yet

 

High 15s maybe. I dunno...depends on alot of factors.

 

gives me a rough estimate lol sounds good tho im gunna start doin alot more work to it soon ive just been out of a job so i cant do much and a very small garage sometime no garage at all to do the work in im surprised my cars in one piece all the stuff ive done to it lol
