Default 2.4 Swap Questions

I'm thinking about doing the 2.4 swap on my blue r/t, and i had a couple questions. is there any thing i need to watch out for specifically? is there any reason i shouldnt do it and just get another 2.0? any tips or hints? I've read the 2.4 swap that jeremy wrote up, god, i dont know how many times lol just want some other peoples input.

If your current engine's in good health, why not do a SRT-4 turbo on it?

That's what i kinda wanna do to mine, but meh...

Thumbs up

nothing to watch out for. if you can get a good deal on an engine its a great plan. get a swap bracket, regulator, clutch and go for it. you can find a short block and use your own cylinder head you already have. ive never heard anyone afterwards that said they wish they hadnt done it.

Personally, the idea of an n/a neon is more appealing than the famous srt swap. Nothing against it. Certainly makes power, but n/a has a more "bolt and go" stigma around it. Big turbo for $800 goes on to inlude i/c piping, and i/c, tuning, forged internals, gauges, stronger (expensive) clutch, etc. You can build a 200+whp neon for $1000 or less using a pt clutch. Just my point of view on it. Had some bad turbo experiences on my daytonaZ.

All depends on where you want to go with the car also, and what you can afford.
